Pascal Schumacher on the « Tour de France » this fall!
A tour of 7 dates will bring Pascal Schumacher to the French roads. He will start his “Tour de France” in the center of Nevers, then Annecy, Limoges, Paris, Nantes, Lille and the final stage will be Strasbourg!
Winner of various awards, including the Jazz Echo prize for the best international instrumental in 2013, Pascal Schumacher no longer has to prove himself as an artist and a jazz composer. Influenced by several musical styles and genres, his talent is acknowledged as he is considered as a « Goldsmith » in his art.
After several albums and successful collaborations Pascal Schumacher has released two albums in 2015: « Afrodiziak » in collaboration with Bachar Khalifé and Francesco Tristano and « Left Tokyo Right », which is his latest as a solo artist.
Mr. Schumacher has been inspired by Japanese culture for this album. Most of the music was composed in Tokyo and expresses Schumacher’s vision of the city through music.
« Left Tokyo Right » defines the two sides of Tokyo. “Right” is the Asakusa district of Tokyo, the temples, women in kimonos, taiko drummers, the traditional “old” Japan. “Left”’ is the Akihabara and Shibuya districts of Tokyo, neon lights, J-pop, the super-mo- dern and flashy “new” Japan.
Starting November you will have the opportunity to discover his musical universe during his “Tour de France”.
