Getting an invitation to play one of your first shows ever as opener for Rodrigo y Gabriela or having musician Tom Rosenthal listening to your music in his playlist of hidden gems is only part of Bartleby Delicate's story.
Starting as a singer-songwriter venture, it has quickly developed into a unique sound laboratory of loops and samples, a feigned band led by the Luxembourg solo artist.
Georges Goerens, the nineties boy behind the project, mixes his own cocktail of philosophical phrases, finger picking, and electronics, coinciding with what has been described by listeners as magical music.

: BIOGRAPHY
Bartleby Delicate is not the usual singer-songwriter. An alter ego of the Luxemburg-based musician Georges Goerens is a musical narrator, whose stories are constantly shifting between reality and fiction.
Since starting the project in 2017, Bartleby has not shied away from showing his music to audiences all over Europe. In the first year, he had already played at several showcase festivals, such as The Great Escape Festival in Brighton and Sonic Visions in Luxembourg. Good feedback allowed him to support bands like Rodrigo y Gabriela, Giant Rooks, Aldous Harding and The Welshly Arms, as well as complete a 2 week lap of Germany, supporting Bender & Schillinger and releasing his debut EP Whatever We Find Suitable To Compare, on the 23rd of April 2017.
With his voice, guitar, synthesizers and a variety of experimental instruments, Bartleby's poems are harmonised with delicate melodies. He invites the listener on an earthly journey through experiences of fortune and failure in the mood of Sufjan Stevens and Soko's music. Albert Camus and Herta Müller, Bartleby's music underlines the enigmatic lyrics questioning the human condition. His music is an expression of a live story somewhere between a tender cry and a subtle smile.
Bartleby's performance is as vulnerable as Daniel Johnston and as determined as Kurt Cobain's. The formula is simple in the end: with an honest will to share of the outer, it becomes a live experience in it's purest form. Bartleby Delicate proposes a special concert with narrative performance that goes beyond the traditional concept to a place where the lines between music and poetry become blurry. Bartleby's live performance is a continuous journey of pleasure and satisfaction.
In 2019, many performances and recording sessions later and Bartleby has released a brand new single titled "Beyond Good and Evil". With this new record, listeners feel a premonition come over them. Unlike the tender and hope-filled singles from Bartleby Delicate’s debut EP, this new single is not afraid of showing abysms. Abysms, that appear daily on the screens to which Bartleby Delicate invites us to face.
