Lyrical genius and rapper, MAZ, only 19, has closed the distance between aspiring artist and rising talent in a very short space of time. Roughly two and a half years in the game and he's already playing to larger than life audiences at festivals and renowned music venues. His latest show saw him supporting Nicki Minaj at the Rockhal. Maz's lyrical depth and technical verse makes him an authentic wordsmith, while his flow and charisma onstage gives you an insight into his bright future.
Maz is a 19 year old rapper from Luxembourg. Ever since he discovered his passion for music and poetry, he strives for his one big dream: to build a career and make a living as a musician. Indeed, he made a rather spectacular entry into the scene, performing for the first time ever on stage with his idol, Ocean Wisdom.
From there on things only got better for Maz, having huge success at Screaming Fields 2017 at the Rockhal where he won 6 prices including the first edition of the Cactus Song Contest, as well as playing at festivals like Food For Your Senses, e-Lake Festival, Rock um Knuedler and a few Fête de la Musique stages. He also supported French rap superstar Sofiane.
His style can be described as very modern with a few old school influences, having quite a technical flow that's often accompanied by rather melancholic atmospheres.
March 30th 2018, Maz released his first album, titled "Immortalisation“. A sold out release show at the Rockhal (The Floor) Luxemburg on the same date was the peak of his artistic self. "Immortalisation“ contains 15 songs of many different styles, produced by the likes of Cehashi, Sun glitters, Corbi, Mr Charly and Fresh D. The album, teased with 3 music videos (on youtube), was well received and truly introduces the young artist. Now he’s hoping for a bright future, trying to get it "all to the next level“.
