Considered one of the best amongst the new generation of Luxembourgish pianists, Sabine Weyer regularly performs in her homeland and internationally, with concerts around the globe.

: BIOGRAPHY
Sabine Weyer, born in 1988 in Luxembourg, starts her piano studies at the age of 7 at the Conservatory of her home town, where she receives the "Diplôme Supérieur" in 2007. In the same year, she gains the 1. "Prix de Perfectionnement" at the unanimity of the jury members in the CNR of Metz (FR). Until June 2012, she was studying with Alexandar Madzar at the Flemish Conservatory in Brussels for the Master's Degree, which she obtained with distinction.
In June 2013, she got the Postgraduate Degree in the class of A. Madzar with distinction. Sabine participated in various masterclasses, working with famous professors such as Françoise Buffet-Arsenijevc, Andras Schiff and Vassil Guenov with whom she studied regularly until 2007.
During summer 2008, she was admitted to participate in a masterclass for young soloists in Germany, with the renowned pedagogue Karl-Heinz Kaemmerling. In 2010 she was selected, with only 7 other students from around the world, to participate in '"The London Masterclasses" under the guidance of the famous British pianist and teacher Norma Fisher.
In July 2011 she was invited to participate in the Internationale Klavierakademie Freiburg with Jura Margulis and Paul-Badura Skoda. Sabine was selected to participate in a masterclass with the famous Russian pianist Oxana Yablonskaya in Kiev (UA) (February 2013), where she performed Beethoven’s 4th Piano Concerto with orchestra. Until September 2013, she was following the advice of the world-famous pianist Aquiles Delle Vigne, having been admitted to his private school in Coimbra, Portugal (Accademia Delle Vigne, a school with the aim of promoting young talents on the edge to an international career).
Sabine regularly performs in Europe and had also the occasion to play in China (Shanghai and Pekin) and Russia. She published her first commercial CD in 2015, with music by Rameau and Debussy. The album was recorded at the Konzerthaus in Vienna and released by the Austrian label Paladino and an official release concert took place at the Philharmonie in Luxembourg in October 2015. Thereafter, the CD was presented in some of the major concert halls in Europe, like the Philharmonie Berlin, and the Salle Cortot in Paris.
In March 2015, Sabine won the first prize in the “Grand Prize Virtuoso” Competition, thanks to which she performed at the Royal Albert Hall in the same year.
In 2017, Sabine Weyer released two albums on the German label ARS Produktion. The first one features keyboard concertos by J.S. Bach and Felix Mendelssohn’s Double Concerto for violin, piano and orchestra (that Sabine recorded with the Camerata Berlin). The second one, Bach to the future, includes works by J.S. Bach and by composers Ferruccio Busoni, Alexander Siloti and Camille Saint-Saëns, whose compositions featured on the album were inspired by Bach.
Furthermore, in 2018 was released the new Shostakovich album A light in the dark, recorded with the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie under Erich Polz (featuring the second piano concerto op 102). This disc won the Austrian CD-prize "Pasticcio" from the ORF radio.
Sabine Weyer teaches piano at the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg since 2015.
