After a busy 2019, 2020 already got off to a good start for Lucilin! In January, the Ensemble hit the road for two international tours with two different productions, resulting from their partnership with the Grand Theatre of Luxembourg.

They presented the Hebrew opera The Sleeping 1000 by Adam Maor on the 8th of January at the Grand Theatre of Luxembourg and on the 16th of January at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon. The musicians were pleased to work again with the team of this opera, whose world premiere took place last July at the prestigious Festival d’Aix-en-Provence.

Meanwhile, a second team flew to Japan to present In Silence by Alexandre Desplat and Solrey. It was the Ensemble’s fifth Japanese tour and this time, the musicians had the opportunity to perform at the Rohm Theatre in Kyoto on January 18th and then at the Kanagawa Prefecture Hall in Yokohama on January 25th. The Japanese audience was very enthusiastic and sensitive to the way this opera highlighted their culture!
