Announcing three new support options!

Due to the impact COVID-19 has had on the music industry this year, music:LX has taken the opportunity to brainstorm new solutions in order to help the Luxembourgish artists and industry thrive during this difficult period – and beyond!

Today, we’re launching three new support options: the Global Project Grant, Composition & Songwriting Support and Support for Local Structures! See below for more information.

Applications are now open!

  • Global Project Grant

Funding under the new music:LX Global Project Grant can be allocated once a year for recipient(s) to undertake a number of activities to stimulate their career development, from the promotion and marketing of an album to international touring and workshops. This initiative aims to encourage artists and their teams to ‘take the reins’ with their global budget over the course of a year.

Awarded applicants for this grant are eligible to receive up to 15,000€ for the presented project.

A jury of music professionals has been selected to carefully review each application to select one award per genre, per year.

This grant is only available to artists we deem 'Established' or 'Breakthrough'.

  • Composition & Songwriting Support

Quality songwriting and composing is an essential skill required to craft music worthy of export. This new support has been created to offer Luxembourgish artists the ability to refine these skills and build their network through a variety of initiatives like songwriting camps, workshops, mentoring programs, co-writing sessions and more.

The composing or songwriting initiatives should be integrated into a strong export strategy with the aim to establish new international partnerships and collaborations.

  • Support for Local Structures

Funding under the new music:LX Support for Local Structures has been created to encourage the growth of the creative music sector of Luxembourg by supporting a wide range of business development and promotional activities abroad, from B2B networking to marketing, conferences, and workshops.

Travel, promotion, and development activities must prove to be linked to the export of an artist supported by music:LX.
