Taking place from the 6th to the 15th of November in ‘s-Hertogenbosch (also called Den Bosch), the festival is the most important international gathering for contemporary music in the country.
November Music aims to develop the collaboration between musicians from the Netherlands and those from abroad. Therefore, Dutch artist William Engelen will set up a special sound installation for strings and percussion, which will fuse visual art and music. It will consist of several objects, including scores and instructions for the musicians of Lucilin, hanging from the ceiling. During their performance, Lucilin will have to move from one score to another, turning themselves into a living piece of art.
If you are not able to travel to the Netherlands, you can also catch United Instruments of Lucilin in Luxembourg at rainy days 2020! They will perform “Where I start, you do not end”, a new creation by British composer Nicholas Morrish, directed by German-based Anselm Dalferth. It will take place on November 13th at the Carré, a cultural space in a former production site which is opening its doors for an original sonic and spatial experience.
