© Esch2022

A really exciting creative and collaborative music project is about to take place right here in Esch-sur-Alzette. Don't miss your chance to participate in the Future Frequencies workshop and concert with Frank Wiedemann and Matthew Herbert.

Are you a composer, producer, songwriter, or musical creator and want to move beyond your musical boundaries? Are you an emerging talent on the instrument or with your voice? Is your band, choir, or marching band ready for the next step? Do you bring authenticity, passion, curiosity, and originality with you? If so, Future Frequencies is looking for you!

This autumn, two of Europe's finest cross-media composers, Frank Wiedemann (one half of Âme, founder of Innervisions, and Bigamo Musik) and Matthew Herbert (also known as Herbert, Doctor Rockit, The Matthew Herbert Big Band) will reimagine the European soundscape in a series of collaborative workshops with emerging and established talents from all age groups and communities across Esch and the surrounding municipalities. The workshops will lead to a performance on the launch event of Esch2022 - European Capital of Culture and beyond.

Join Future Frequencies on this expedition into the new cross-cultural sonic territory by submitting your most original, unique, and exciting work. They want to unearth hidden sounds, talents, songwriters, performers, and producers from all of the diverse cultural worlds of the Esch2022 territory. Spaces are filling up, so hurry, the Future Frequencies depend on you!
